eSE Summit Director Andrew Bell is hoping to raise over £2000 for Bristol based charity appeal ‘Cots for Tots’. eSE will be facilitating a charity golf day to be held on April 3rd, which will be run as a partnership between the Clifton Connection and Clifton RFC. Andrew hopes to gather 24 teams of budding golfers from Bristol and Clifton based businesses to take part in the event hosted by The Players Club golf course.

All funds raised from the day will be donated to the Cots for Tots appeal which supports the life changing work done by St Michael’s hospital. The Appeal raises funds which help to provide lifesaving equipment for the Special Care Baby Unit caring for sick and premature babies and their families.

Andrew recently welcomed his own daughter at St Michaels Hospital and had the opportunity to see the work done by the staff at St Michaels. Speaking about the charity Andrew said “We were in the hospital for 5 days and fortunately did not need the services of the charity, but we did see others who did. This had led me to become involved with the charity and is something I want to help raise funds to support.”

A number of Clifton based businesses and offices have submitted their carefully built teams including Scottish Widows, Royal Bank of Scotland as well as Clifton firms Amarelle and Tuffin Ferraby Taylor.  We are still keen to garner the support of more local firms to help reach our ambitious target.

Alistair Allison, of Tuffin Ferraby Taylor and co-founder of the Clifton connection commented “Our Charity Golf day provides an excellent opportunity, not only to raise valuable funds for a very worthy cause, but provide a great networking potential between the area’s top firms whilst undertaking what is likely to be a very competitive day of golfing”.

He continued “We are pleased to be donating to the Cots for Tots appeal who provide an extremely important service which resonates with all parents, including myself as a father of one”.

More information about the appeal can be found at: http://www.cotsfortots.org.uk/

If your company is local to the Clifton or Bristol area and would like to be involved or donate to the charirty, please leave a comment or get in touch with Simon Keen of eSE on simon.keen@estratevents.com.
