MESIA becomes official partner for Powering the Middle East Summit

The Middle East Solar Industry Association (MESIA) has become an official sponsor for the Powering Middle East Summit (#PoweringME) to be held in Amman, Jordon on September 17th and 18th. The partnership between the non-profit and non-governmental solar trade organisation and our unique summit acts as a positive step towards bringing together established solar providers with key public sector figures from ten Middle Eastern governments.MESIA-HighRes (2)

Following the agreement on the partnership MESIA stated “MESIA is proud to participate in and fully supports the Powering Middle East Summit. Our mission is to create a solar community to help grow the footprint of solar in the region, expand awareness and strengthen the local solar industry.” Commenting on the location of the summit MESIA believes “Jordan has become a strategic location for the solar industry and the Powering Middle East Summit is an ideal platform for all key players to exchange ideas and have valuable networking sessions”.

MESIA have an aim to utilise a solar community to bring together public and private sector stakeholders resulting in partnerships to implement solar power across the Middle East. The Middle East region has a huge potential for solar adoption, yet only four of fourteen members have an existing solar installation capacity. The partnership between the eSE Powering Middle East Summit and MESIA will help to bring together Middle eastern governments and utilities with private sector industry leaders helping to create a sustainable and environmentally friendly for the evolving region.
