Global technology leader Ricoh UK will continue to support eSE’s expanding Public Sector Series by partnering the UK Technology Enhanced Emergency Services Forum. The forum, co-facilitated with Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service, will now benefit from Ricoh’s printing and technical support as well as including the organisation’s leading solutions supplied to the ‘Blue Light Services’. Ricoh’s continuing partnership comes at a time which sees eSE expand its trio of Public Sector Services forum series to include specialist ‘On-Site’ forums, designed to showcase examples of innovative technology solutions overcoming challenges in public sector service delivery from region to region.
Ricoh led research by the Economist Intelligence Unit argues that the most significant barrier to technology adoption in ‘Blue Light Services’ is due to time constraints on Emergency Services professionals themselves. Within the Emergency Services market Ricoh UK provides a wide range of Managed Document Solutions aimed at improving efficiency and secure data management throughout the command structure. Solutions to be demonstrated include Multifunctional Devices (MFD) which are enabled with data security systems to keep investigations secure and ‘Follow-me’ print which ensures high availability without the need for out of hours cover. Staff can spend more time on the frontline by using Ricoh’s scanning and workflow software to free them from time consuming administration, whilst outside the office Ricoh’s mobile solution improve the speed and quality of information input from scene of an incident.
Alasdair McCormick, National Sales Director for Government at Ricoh UK said “We’re committed to improving the sector’s approach to information management and by providing reliable solutions that are easy to use and well supported, Ricoh allows emergency services professionals to focus on what they do best: providing a robust and efficient lifesaving service. Our partnership with eSE will help to establish this platform as an opportunity to showcase the numerous technological solutions which can aid UK emergency services.”
Following the continuing growth of the UK Health Informatics Series, and supported by Ricoh UK, eSE’s national forums will be supplemented with focused ‘On-site’ meetings. The On-Site meetings will take place between the main forums and provide a platform to advance the discussions and develop partnerships, this ensures that the series continually builds upon itself, and that industry experts have a chance to meet and learn from examples of regional innovation. More information for the “On-Site” meetings and their locations can be found on the UK Health Informatics, Technology Enhanced Homecare and the UK Technology Enhanced Emergency Services websites.
